Perrygrove Railway – a self-contained and private location for filming, photoshoots, television, advertising shoots, etc. It’s magic!
Suitable for films needing woodland, forest, farmland, a small railway, small steam trains, and a magical atmosphere.

Very suitable for children's programmes, fantasy films, and adverts!

Location: Royal Forest of Dean, an ancient hunting forest, 2 ½ hours from London. For satellite navigation devices, Autoroute software, etc., input our postcode:- GL16 8QB. Maps to find us are here.

The railway and estate are available as a self-contained location for advertising photography, television and feature films. We understand the needs and requirements of production companies and agencies. Technical and expert advice with regard to both past and present railway scenes is part of our service.

Location Facilities include large open areas suitable for a location base and a helicopter pad. We can help with local hotels and other services.

Other locations nearby include the ancient Roman archeological site where JRR Tolkien is believed to have “discovered” Hobbits in 1929, the childhood home and countryside where J.K. Rowling grew up, and several locations used for filming the current BBC series of ‘Doctor Who’.
