Check our operating dates and train times to see which days the railway is operating. On operating days our doors open at 10:30am and the first train is at 10:40am. There is a train every 35 minutes with a short break for lunch. The last train is at 3:45pm or 4:15pm depending on the time of year – see the note on the timetable.
What does it cost?  Our entrance charge covers all the attractions at Perrygrove except the Treasure Hunt. There is no charge for extra rides. See our prices page for details.
I don’t want to ride on the train – I just want to have a look round or use the café. Can I come in without paying? No. We cannot run Perrygrove without the income from entrance charges. We can arrange an accompanied familiarisation visit without charge for teachers and other group leaders with proper accreditation.
Can I pay with a card? Yes. We accept Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards. Please see our prices page for details. We do not accept American Express.

How long does the ride take? The round trip lasts about 20 minutes but you can get off at any of the 4 stations to explore our woods or use the covered picnic and play area at Foxy Hollow (a short walk from Oakiron station). Your ticket lasts all day and there is no charge for extra rides.
What is there to do at Perrygrove? Lots! Please start at the page which describes our railway and follow the links.
How does the treasure hunt work? We supply the key to unlock a box of hidden treasure and the clues you need to find it. Ride away on the train to hunt for clues in the woods, or stay on the train and find them at the stations. Then ride back to the indoor village to find the treasure – which can be shared. There is a small charge for the treasure hunt – see our Prices page for details.
Is there a café? Yes. We serve freshly-made sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, cakes, sweets, and ice cream in season. Prices are reasonable
Can we bring a picnic? Yes. We have picnic tables outside and under cover. The cafe seating is available for our cafe customers only. We need you to take your picnic waste home, we cannot dispose of it for you.
Can we bring our dog? Unfortunately we do not allow dogs on site except registered assistance dogs.
